Agricultural Commission

About Us

The Rochester Agricultural Commission was formed by the Select Board in 2011 to serve as a local voice advocating for farmers, farm businesses and farm interests. The Commission is a seven-member board that is charged with providing visibility for farming and protecting farmland and natural resources.

The Agricultural Commission works with other town boards on issues facing the town that affect agriculture and helps resolve farm related problems or conflicts. The Commission serves as an advocate and has no regulatory nor enforcement authority.
