Cultural Council
About the Council
The Rochester Cultural Council (RCC) is part of a network of Local Cultural Councils (LCC) that serve every city and town in the state, and are guided by a central agency, the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). The mission of the MCC and its LCC partners is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities and sciences. It is their mutual goal to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of our communities.
Who We Are
The Rochester Cultural Council is a group of volunteers appointed by the Rochester Select Board for three year terms. Our mission is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in Rochester. The Rochester Cultural Council strives to achieve these goals by diligently evaluating grant requests and allocating the funds provided by the Mass Cultural Council to projects best serving Rochester residents.
