Administrative Assistant for the Tri-Town Veterans’ Services
The Towns of Mattapoisett, Marion and Rochester are seeking applicants for an Administrative Assistant in the Tri-Town Veterans’ Services Office. This position performs detailed bookkeeping, accounting, and technical duties in order to oversee and track monthly payments to veterans and/or dependents utilizing Massachusetts Chapter 115 benefits. Detailed accounting is provided to the State of Massachusetts to ensure benefits are authorized by the state and reimbursed to the town. This position assists the Veterans’ Services Officer (VSO) with financial management as well as establishing schedules, answering phone calls, and organizing one on one meetings with veteran/dependent clients. The Administrative Assistant is required to exercise independent judgment in administering and conducting their duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, under the direction of the VSO. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving efficiency and effectiveness.

This is a part-time non-union position, 19 hours/week, with a starting salary of $22.50/hour.
